How Our Escrow System Protects You
Every purchase on FurMarket is protected by our escrow system. Your payment is held securely until you receive and approve your item. Sellers don’t get paid until you’re satisfied.
Step 1: Payment Secured
When you buy, your payment is held in escrow — not sent to the seller.
Step 2: Seller Ships
The seller ships your item with a trackable shipping method and provides a tracking number.
Step 3: You Receive
Your item arrives. Tracking confirms delivery to your address.
Step 4: 3-Day Inspection
You have 3 full days to inspect the item and confirm it matches the listing.
Step 5: Payment Released
Once you accept (or 3 days pass), the seller receives their payout minus our 5% commission.
What Qualifies for a Refund
You are eligible for a full refund if any of the following apply:
Item not as described — material differences from the listing description or photos.
Item is damaged — arrived with damage not disclosed in the listing.
Wrong item — you received an item different from what was listed.
Counterfeit — the item is fake or misrepresented (e.g., faux fur sold as real fur).
Item not delivered — tracking shows no delivery within the expected timeframe.
Missing parts — item is incomplete or missing components described in the listing.
What Does NOT Qualify for a Refund
Buyer's remorse — you changed your mind after purchasing.
Minor variations — slight color differences due to monitor/photography settings.
Wear consistent with stated condition — if the listing accurately described the condition.
Fit issues — item doesn't fit but was accurately described and measured.
Buyer failed to inspect within 3 days — the inspection window has closed and payment was released.
Damage caused by the buyer after delivery.
How to File a Dispute
If you receive an item that doesn’t match the listing, follow these steps:
- Open a dispute within your 3-day inspection windowby going to your Dashboard → My Orders → select the order → “Report a Problem.”
- Provide evidence— upload photos showing the issue and a written description of what’s wrong compared to the listing.
- Seller responds — the seller has 48 hours to respond with their side, including any additional evidence.
- FurMarket reviews — our team reviews both sides and makes a decision within 3-5 business days.
- Resolution— if the dispute is found in your favor, you receive a full refund. If found in the seller’s favor, payment is released to the seller.

Return Shipping
- Seller at fault (item not as described, damaged, counterfeit): Seller pays return shipping costs.
- No return required in some cases: For low-value items or clear-cut violations, FurMarket may issue a refund without requiring a return.
- All returns must be shipped with tracking and insurance.
- Items must be returned in the same condition as received. Any further damage by the buyer voids the refund.
